FRA and Amtrak

The 2026 conference will be a high-quality experience for RPCA members, with most of the events taking place at the Embassy Suites hotel and convention facility in Chattanooga at I-75 exit 5.  These activities include seminars, sessions, annual meeting, hospitality, and the annual banquet.  In addition, there will be several opportunities to visit the TVRM site for tours, train rides, shop visits, additional seminars, and special events.  TVRM’s Soule Shops in East Chattanooga will be opened up for behind-the-scenes tours, as well as informative hands-on seminars. 

Most likely there will be a “field trip” to ride TVRM’s Hiwassee River Scenic Railroad line through the Hiwassee River Gorge, areas of the Cherokee National Forest, and around world famous Hiwassee Loop. There are opportunities for bonus activities that could include a Dinner Train and/or Afternoon Tea, and special visits to local attractions such as Lookout Mountain’s Incline Railway, Chattanooga Choo Choo Complex (former Terminal Station), Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City, or Ruby Falls.
