Youth & Young Professional Programs
The Railroad Passenger Car Alliance is proud to support the next generation of railcar owners, tourist railroad volunteers, and railroad professionals. RPCA is a national rail preservation organization actively promoting the passing of institutional knowledge and skills to the next generation.
Furthering New Generations Committee
The RPCA Furthering New Generations Committee (FNG) is a young professional’s organization within the Railroad Passenger Car Alliance. FNG is tasked with promoting involvement in historic rail preservation and excursion passenger rail operations to young professionals between the ages of 18-30. FNG members elect a RPCA officer, the Vice President of Youth Development.
Furthering New Generations Committee members organize separate events, conference seminars, and organize conference financial assistance to members under 30.

William Fuehring Fund for Future Leaders
The William Fuehring Fund has one purpose, that is to make it easier for younger individuals to become active in the railroad industry. The fund will pay 100% the cost of a candidate to travel and attend the annual RPCA conference, hotel accommodations, attendance at any of the seminars, the annual banquet and any additional activities. NRHS RailCamp
RPCA members provide financial support offering scholarships to attend NRHS RailCamp, a program that gives teenagers with an interest in trains hands-on railroad experience.
