William Fuehring Fund for Future Leaders Scholarships
The William Fuehring Fund has one purpose, that is to make it easier for younger individuals to become active in the railroad industry. The fund will pay 100% the cost of a candidate to attend the annual RPCA conference. This includes hotel accommodations, transportation, attendance at seminars, the annual banquet, and any additional activities.
Who was Bill Fuehring?
Bill was a lot of things, he was the founder of RPCA, a great friend, mentor, teacher, and negotiator. More importantly Bill was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. Bill was taken from this world unexpectedly and RPCA misses him dearly. In an effort to preserve his memory and honor his legacy the RPCA Board of Directors created the William Fuehring Fund for Future Leaders.
To be eligible for Fuehring Fund scholarships you must:
Be 19-30 yrs old.
A member of RPCA or any organization that is a member.
Have not previously participated in the program.
Submit an essay on why RPCA should consider them to be part of the program.
Submit a completed application no later the November 15th.
Must be able to attend the next scheduled conference in January.
Applications must be submitted no later than November 20th. All applications will be reviewed by the Fund committee. If you are selected you will be notified by December 10th.
