William Fuehring Fund For Future Leaders
Who was Bill Fuehring?
Bill was a lot of things, he was the founder of RPCA, a great friend, mentor, teacher, negotiator. But more importantly Bill was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. Bill was taken from this world unexpectedly a few years ago and we all miss him dearly. In an effort to preserve his memory and honor him for all that he gave to our industry the RPCA Board of Directors created the William Fuehring Fund.
The William Fuehring Fund has one purpose, that is to make it easier for younger individuals to become active in the railroad industry. The fund will pay 100% the cost of a candidate to travel and attend the annual RPCA conference, hotel accommodations, attendance at any of the seminars, the annual banquet and any additional activities. To be eligible you must:
Be 19-30 yrs old.
A member of RPCA or any organization that is a member.
Have not previously participated in the program.
Submit an essay on why RPCA should consider them to be part of the program.
Submit a completed application no later the November 15th.
Must be able to attend the next scheduled conference in January.
Applications must be submitted no later than November 20th. All applications will be reviewed by the Fund committee. If you are selected you will be notified by December 10th.
